1.1 Why can’t I buy modules separately?The modules are manufactured and packaged to ship as a set in order to keep the development and production costs to a minimum. Based on the success of the campaign and your feedback, we hope to offer them separately in the future.
1.2 What is the maximum load for K Kit?The max load for K Kit is 10A, 15W. The max load for the smart plug is 10A, 2200W.
1.3 Can I control devices outside my house?Yes. You will be able to control devices within different networks – other Internet enabled Wi-Fi network, 3G or 4G, no matter you are at home, in office or traveling.
1.4 How many devices can be used within one network?The network scale depends on the capability of your Wi-Fi router. We advise not to use more than 10 kits in one network.
1.5 Which plug types does K Kit support?K Kit currently comes with plug types for US and mainland China.
1.6 Can more than one phone control the same K Kit?A K Kit can be controlled from multiple phones. The status and settings on all the phones are synchronized as the same.
1.7 What languages does the app support?Upon release, the app and instructions will be available in English and Chinese.
1.8 How do you ensure the quality?K Kit will be certified with UL.
1.9 What's the expected lifetime of products?On our testing results under normal use they can last for 10 years or more.
1.10 Do you have a mobile app? Is it free?Yes. We have iOS and Android apps so that you can monitor and control your home remotely. They are free.
1.11 What happens if the internet or power goes out?If your internet or power goes out then your K Kit system will temporarily be down. As soon as you get internet or power again everything will be back up and running.

1.13 Is there a monthly fee or contract?Nope. Once you buy K Kit you are good to go.

3.1 What does K Kit think about Privacy?We know that privacy must be taken incredibly seriously when it concerns your home. Our policy is that your data belongs to you and should only be used to make your life better. Our server is in US and we meet all US laws and requirements for data safety and security. We will not share your data with anyone for any purpose.
3.2 Does my data leave my home?Most data stay in your home. The account information is in the cloud only for technical needs.
3.3 Is my data secure?We use 256-bit AES encryption for every communication, both the communications between devices inside of your home as well as those between your home and the cloud. We also have firewall to protect the server.
3.4 Can anyone hack into my K Kit and control my home appliances?

5.1 I haven't gotten my confirmation email yet, should I be worried?We're getting to everyone's emails as quickly as we can, but it could take as long as 48 hours to hear from us. 5.2 Do you have a warranty?Yes, we have a 12 month warranty that covers any manufacturing defects. If you ever have a problem with any part of your K Kit, just contact us and we'll do our best to make it right.
